Ten municipalities in Bataan, including Hermosa and Orani, were among the recipients of newly donated ambulances from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), as part of its Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program (MTVDP). President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally led the turnover ceremony held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on July 9, 2025.
Mayor Anne Inton of Hermosa and Mayor Jon Arizapa of Orani personally received the Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) for their respective municipalities. Both mayors emphasized that the new ambulances will significantly strengthen their towns’ emergency response and improve access to urgent medical care, especially in far-flung communities.
Bataan Governor Joet Garcia expressed gratitude to the PCSO and the national government, noting that 10 towns in the province benefited from the program. “These additional ambulances will greatly help our municipalities in delivering urgent medical services, especially during emergencies and disasters,” the governor said.
The PCSO distributed a total of 387 PTVs to local government units across Regions I to V and the Cordillera Administrative Region. Each unit is equipped with essential medical tools — including a stretcher, oxygen tank, and blood pressure monitor — to help ensure timely and safe transport of patients.
